Our Weekly Freebie Friday: #245
A couple weeks ago I gave you guys an update about the Youth Questions channel I run on YouTube and it’s being used to reach teenagers online. In that update I mentioned that several youth workers are also using those videos to introduce topics and discussions in their youth groups, some of them even writing talksheets and lesson plans to accompany the videos.
Jillianne Booth, the Assistant Youth Minister at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, plans on using the videos every week as part of her regular youth meetings. She passed along the lesson plan she wrote for the video on, “How to handle stress,” and now I get to pass it along to you all.
Here’s the video on YouTube:
QUESTION: Is this something you’d be interested in using on a weekly basis? Should we make talksheets available for the Youth Questions videos each week? Would you actually use them regularly?
The interesting part about something like this is that you and your kids can be a part of future videos. I send an email out to about 50-some youth workers on a semi-regular basis with a list of upcoming questions we’ll be answering and ask for your video submissions. Your kids are welcomed to be a part of them, both in answering the questions and submitting their own. If you want to be on that list, just comment below using your real email address and indicate so.
In case you missed it, here’s a talksheet for a Youth Questions video we did titled, “I’m addicted to pornography!”
You can download the, “How to handle stress,” video for free in iTunes.
