Time Out: Weekly quiet times for the youth worker’s soul.
(by Adam Wormann)
This week is a little bit different. No real devotional. One of the things we miss out on a lot as youth workers is silence. There’s tons of activity. We read blogs or devotionals. We even read the Bible. We often skimp on time to listen. Take some time, even just 5 minutes, and spend it in silence. No iTunes, phone, or computer. Just silence. Reflect and give God a chance to speak.
(and If you’re thinking about skipping over because it doesn’t feel productive enough, please don’t. Your soul needs rest too.)
