Several years ago when I first started in this youth ministry position (the one I’m leaving on Sunday), the youth group had never implemented anything with small groups. Understanding their value and potential, I cast the vision for small groups and put together this leadership training for the adult volunteers. To cover all the material with the time it’s due, the training takes about 8 hours, which is why we split it over the course of two nights. Here’s what it covers:
Part 1: Small group philosophy.
Part 2: Biblical leadership.
Part 3: Developing apprentice leaders.
Part 4: Group life.
Part 5: Conducting meetings.
Part 6: Shepherding members.
Part 7: Multiplying your ministry.
This package includes my teaching notes, PowerPoint presentations and handouts in PDF format.
Even if you don’t intend to train your volunteers with this material, most of my teaching notes are in manuscript form and are easy to read through for your own personal benefit.

Send me your donations for review and if I publish them in a Freebie Friday, you’ll receive full credit, a link, lots of gratitude and a warm feeling inside that comes from sharing with others.
