While I was at the D6 Conference last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Doug Fields and tap into his wisdom. The first question I asked him (and most important to me as a young dad) is:

“How can those of us who are serving in the church and new to parenting instill a faith into our kids that lasts as they grow up?”

As much as we all hate it, pastors’ kids have a reputation for ditching God and the church as they grow older. That’s part of what my new site, MinistryFamily.com, seeks to address as my wife and I reflect on our own upbringing in ministry families. It was great to hear Doug’s advice on this and I may expound on it over at MinistryFamily.com in the upcoming weeks.
